Repensando las políticas de prevención del delito. una perspectiva civilizatoria con implicaciones en política pública.
Abstract
Crime prevention policies in Mexico seem to have been tackled by a ¿glass ceiling¿. The theoretical core underlying crime prevention programs states that family relationships, the environment and deficiencies in government services can become high-risk environments that must be inhibited. The civilizatory approach allows understanding the mechanism of socialization of violence from sources not considered in the current model of crime pre vention, such as corrupt behavior and impunity of the political class. This approach allows improve the causal relationship and offer a new vision for the formulation and evaluation of crime prevention policies.
