Abstract
The general objective of the project was to characterize the economic, social and environmental conditions of the family production units and the corn production system of the producers of the Cacahuatepec Communal Assets (BCC) to identify elements within the agriculture and peasant economy to the redesign of a model for corn production based on the principles of social economy and agroecology and contribute to the achievement of grain self-sufficiency for the BCC families, one of the areas with the greatest socioeconomic backwardness in the Municipality of Acapulco . , Gro. a territory where agriculture is practiced subject to the weather, on hillside soils, with erosion problems and with a high dependence on external inputs (seeds, chemical fertilizers and pesticides). Specifically, an identification of the corn production system (current or reference model) was carried out, as well as the identification of agroecological and social economy elements that exist in its cultivation practices, from which indicators were identified for the I redesign the production model (alternative model) taking back the elements found and orienting them to the agroecological and SSE principles and values.
