Cultivo del langostino Macrobrachium tenellum, alimentado con Artemia franciscana la cual a su vez fue alimentada con dietas unialgales y mixtas de microalgas.

Abstract

This study is focused on analyze growth of Macrobrachium tenellum¿s larvae that were fed by Artemia franciscana. M. tenellum was collected in the Juluapan lagoon, at Manzanillo, State of Colima, México. M. tenellum larvae were fed with A. franciscana that was grown according to two methods used in laboratories of larval production. First method is called the "clear water method", and the second method is known as "green water method." For "green water method", A. franciscana were fed by unialgal and mixed diets from clones of marine microalgae Asterionella japonica, Crypto monas sp., Platymonas suecica, Chaetoceros diversus, Chaetoceros gracillis and Tetraselmis suecica. Weight gained by shrimp M. tenellum fed by A. franciscana who was fed by unialgal diet of P. suecica is greater than weight gained by M. tenellum using A. franciscana who was fed by mixed diet of C. diversus and P. suecica.
