Abstract

Introduction: The safety of surgery in surgical patients is related to the state of infrastructure, equipment, quality and quantity of drugs, administrative management, fight against infections, capacity in staff training, lack of financial resources, practices inadequate safety in the surgical team, communication of the members who participate in the surgical process among others, which are the factors that contribute to the difficulties of patient safety in current practice. Objective: To evaluate the intervention of perioperative nursing care in patient safety in the surgical area at the Vicente Guerrero Regional General Hospital to improve quality care through efficient care strategies for them.
