Abstract

In the framework of the planning and territorial ordering, knowledge of the territory through indicators is of utmost importance, for revealing the territorial differences in natural, social and economic; They allow a diagnosis to identify the various problems to be starting point for decision making, to carry out an adequate political and administrative organization, a rational and productive utilization of human and natural resources. The State of Guerrero, located in an area with difficult access because of its geographical conditions, makes that there are socio-economic differences. It is proposed to obtain a synthetic cartographic image of the entity based five socio-economic indicators and thus described, the socio-economic levels of development of the municipalities of the State of Guerrero.
