Violencia contra las mujeres en política en México: una propuesta de análisis desde las caras partidistas.

Abstract

This articles presents a proposal to analyze violence against women in politics in Mexico. It relies on the idea of the different faces of the parties (partisan, electoral, and legislative) within which different types of violence against women (psychological, physical, economic, sexual and symbolic) may take place. It is worth bearing in mind that, despite advances in passing and implementation of gender quota laws and parity, women suffer acts of violence that dwindle their performance. Based on a documentary and bibliographic revision, this descriptive and qualitative research shows empirical evidence around violence against women; at the same time, it has the goal of recuperating Bardall¿s (2017 and 2018) concept of violence against women in politics, linking it to literature about the different faces of political parties (Katz and Mair, 1990).
