Conexiones matemáticas establecidas por estudiantes universitarios al resolver ecuaciones diferenciales ordinarias de primer orden.
Resumen
Mathematical connections make it possible conceive of mathematics as integrated whole and enable students to develop their mathematical understanding. For this reason, the interest arises in identifying the mathematical connections that students make when solving tasks that involve firstorder Ordinary Differential Equations. In the present investigation we ask ourselves: What mathematical connections do university students make when solving tasks that involve first-order Ordinary Differential Equations? Mathematical connection is understood to be the process by which a person relates two or more ideas, concepts, definitions, theorems, procedures, representations and meanings with each other, with of other disciplines or with real life. Task-based interview and thematic analysis were used for data collection to analyze them. Our results indicate that seven types of mathematical connections were identified: different representations, part-whole, feature, procedural, meaning, implication and reversibility.
