Abstract

The dispersion of information and the lack of a centralized repository have generated difficulties in tracking research trends, identifying collaborations between researchers, and evaluating the impact of theses in the health field. The digitalization of theses from 2003 at the Faculty of Medicine of the Autonomous University of Guerrero, although it represented an advance in terms of accessibility and preservation of information, has evidenced a significant gap in the management and exploitation of this valuable resource. The improvement in the visibility of research translates into an increase in citations, greater recognition at national and international level and, ultimately, a greater impact in the health field. Therefore, the present thesis work aimed to analyze the bibliographic characteristics of the database obtained from the theses of the Faculty of Medicine of the Autonomous University of Guerrero from 2015 to 2023.
