TIC en las matemáticas universitarias: multimedia educativa modelación matemática.

Abstract

Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) have had a significant impact on the processes of generation and dissemination of teaching literature and didactic materials. Likewise, ICT have been implemented quite successfully in the improvement of mathematics learning at different educational levels. Quality university teaching must take ICT into account, since they represent an essential change in the teaching and learning process of university mathematics. This research is based on the application of ICT as a tool to favor the teaching and learning process of mathematics at the university level. In particular, as a practical contribution, a multimedia application associated with Mathematical Modeling topics is proposed. The pedagogical design of the Mathematical Modeling Educational Multimedia (MEOMI) is presented, as well as the general and functional description of the software, the design of the screens that compose it and methodological recommendations for its use. Finally, the multimedia application is evaluated by means of expert criteria.
