dc.description.abstractDevelopment, sustainable, rural and local development, are approached from an integral and social perspective, discussing how its conception and application can have an impact on the agricultural, social and cultural processes of rural societies, It is also discussed how their behavior and proceeding outside the realities of the social sectors are related to the lack of solutions to the increasingly evident affectations in local areas. That makes it necessary, that its application and conception have adaptations according to the geographical, social, cultural characteristics, and are directed according to the existing resources in the territories and the knowledge of the inhabitants of the populations. In the rural populations of the Costa Chica de Guerrero, hibiscus is an important economic activity for family sustenance, this crop due to its antioxidant, medicinal and nutrient properties is a crop that can be highly profitable in the food industry due to its pleasant flavor and currently accepted by consumers. However, in the producing towns of Jamaica, such as the community of El Pericón, they are having low yields due to pest problems, climate change, por management of calyx dehydration, which bring with them marketing problems, therefore, in the In recent years, producers have been losing interest in the traditional agricultural production of this aromatic flower, since year after year they face and resist the aforementioned problems. For these reasons, they sought to work in the El Pericón community, where hibiscus producers are deeply rooted in the crop and have sought to solve some of the many problems present in their hibiscus production. For this reason, the proposal to strengthen the production of jamaica in small farmers of Guerrero is presented, which was built through research, approaches to the study population, materials and agricultural resources, as well as the participation of the subjects in development., seeking to provide solutions to the jamaica production sector.
