The objective was to evaluate the partial and accumulated production of biogas and methane (CH4), as well as the degradation of dry matter (DMD) and neutral detergent fiber (DNDF) in vitro of diets for calves with increasing levels of Moringa oleifera pod. Diets were formulated based on the NRC (2000) and were characterized by increasing inclusion of Moringa oleifera (MO) pod D1 (control), D2 (10 % MO pod), D3 (20 % MO pod) and D4 (30 % of MO pod). The biodigester consisted of 0.5 g of diet, 45 mL of culture medium and 5 mL of ruminal fluid as inoculum and incubated at 39 ° C for 72 h. The variables were partial production at 24, 48 and 72 h, as well as accumulated biogas and CH4; in addition, DMD and DNDF at 72 h.
