Currently the activity of the modern porcicultura has gained relevance in Mexico, transforming in the state of Guerrero from an activity primarily of family subsistence from backyard to a commercial activity with a semi-technified system in controlled confinement. In some municipalities in the region, such as Florencio Villarreal, this activity has generated social and economic benefits, but it has also generated negative impacts on the environment due to the lack of management of organic solid wastes from this livestock activity.
