Prevalencia de intento de suicidio en estudiantes de tercer año de la preparatoria 2 de la UAGro.
Resumen
Suicide is a complex and multifactorial problem that significantly affects the adolescent population. High school students are in a critical stage of development, exposed to multiple psychosocial and academic factors that can trigger suicidal ideation and behavior. This study focuses on Preparatory School No. 2 of UAGro to determine the prevalence and identify factors associated with risk and suicide attempts. Material and Methods. A cross-sectional study was conducted with 272 students (148 women and 124 men) from both shifts (morning and afternoon). Two validated instruments were applied: the Okasha Scale, to assess suicidal ideation and behavior, and the Plutchik questionnaire, with a Likert-type structure, to determine suicide risk. The data were analyzed using IBM SPSS v30, using descriptive statistics and correlation analysis to establish associations between variables.
