A total of 14 infection-positive samples were processed only for HPV-16, of which 5 were cytologically diagnosed as normal cytology (CN), 6 as a low-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion (LEIBG) and 3 cancer samples. The most frequent variant identified in these samples was the variant E-G350. After sequencing, change of cytosine to thymine could be observed in all those cytosines that are not located in the 5'CpG3' context and in the cytosines that are found in a CpG dinucleotide but lack methylation.
