Contribución de las mujeres en el fortalecimiento del tejido social: estudio de caso en la colonia paraíso, Acapulco, Gro.
Resumen
The reconstruction of social fabric is an essential process in communities that have experienced conflicts and social disintegration, where restoring cohesion and peaceful coexistence becomes a primary goal. This study focuses on the Paraíso neighborhood in Acapulco, Guerrero, a community facing various social and economic challenges. The main objective of the research is to develop a participatory plan centered on Social Economy and the inclusion of women to strengthen the communitys social fabric. The research adopts a qualitative approach, using the dimensions proposed in the work . These dimensions provide a theoretical framework to analyze the communitys social dynamics and develop effective intervention strategies. The study sample consisted of 40 women from the community, who participated in semi-structured interviews. The results revealed an unfavorable opinion of 54% regarding territorial attachment, access and participation in culture, and care for natural resources. Meanwhile, 61% had a favorable perception of religious beliefs, school dropout, and family dynamics. These findings indicate that while progress has been made in some areas, significant challenges remain to be addressed to improve social cohesion and community resilience. One of the key strategies implemented in the community was the promotion of art and culture among children, youth, and women. The activity ¿La paz es el camino? was a central component of this strategy, designed to facilitate the joint participation of mothers and children in cultural and artistic activities.
