Gestión comunitaria y manejo sustentable del agua para uso doméstico en la localidad de Puente González, Municipio de Iguala de la Independencia, Guerrero.
Abstract
The management of water resources in rural areas depends, to the large extent, on the participation of communities in the administration and correct use of the resources. The objective of this document is to define a community management model as an alternative for access to drinking water in the town of Puente González, in the northern part or the State of Guerrero. Whitin the methodological framework, this study is approached through qualitative research and uses resources from both the Earth and social sciences. Through the design and implementation of a community accompaniment with members of the community and decision makers, a proposal for drilling a community supply source was formulated, aimed at improving access to water in sufficient quantity and quality. Likewise, it was identified that the ejidal assembly prevails as the highest instance for decision-making and resource management through discussion mechanisms for the common good. The forms of organization and the establishment of community agreements are analyzed to regulate the access, management, and distribution of wáter within their territory and activities of care and efficient use of water are carried out with children and youth of the town.
