In this work an analysis is elaborated on the concept of cultural heritage. A study is made to know the authentic interest of the different actors who participate and affect the architectural heritage, the government and the private initiative. The objective is to show the state of the heritage built in Taxco de Alarcon, Guerrero, in Mexico. Tourist center that has as its main attraction the city itself and its architecture. Its location on the hill of Atache, gave rise to its particular trace of broken plate with large unevennesses, alleys and streets that are adapted to the rugged topography and that delimit blocks, plazas, allotments and houses of irregular shape. It stands out the monumental baroque temple of Santa Prisca and San Sebastián, built in the XVIII century, a building that together with its built environment form the icon, the mark that serves to promote it.
